Enumerate renal function tests. Write down the role of CCR and UTP an assessment of renal function

Routine examination of urine for
·        Volume, specific gravity, osmolarity
·        PH, albumin, glucose
·        RBC, cast.
2. Evaluation of glomerular function.
·        Estimation of GFR by radio isotope clearance study.
·        Serum creatinine concentration
·        Serum urea concentration
·        Creatinine clearance test
·        Urea clearance test
3. Evaluation of glomerular integrity.
·        Examination of urine for protein
·        Microscopic examination of urine for RBC and cast.
4. Evaluation of tubular functions
·        Examination of urine for glucose
·        Examination of urine for amino acid
·        Urinary osmolarity
·        Urinary specific gravity
5. Evaluation of renal blood flow by Doppler study.
6. Evaluation of quantitative functional status of kidney by isotope scanning.

Protein does not normally present in urine. Urinary total protein is done to see the function of kidney and integrity of glomerular membrane.
